The String orchestra piece "Paper Flight" is my new release coming out on 10/25. This piece is a reflective, melodic homage to being free and being able to "fly". Off to new beginnings, a new journey, turning over a new leaf, etc. It can also be a main theme for a movie or show someday. Fingers crossed. This piece is dedicated to Ena Marie Tiro. Thank you for the words and inspiration.
"take my flight, Dancing on air, a carefree sight. My spirit soars, filled with delight. On this course, I'm free and bold, My story unfolds, beauty untold. Life's true essence, I've come to see, Is in the freedom to simply be."
TwoSet Violin, the hugely popular musical comedy duo, has announced the end of its creative output.
In a cryptic social media post, TwoSet Violin has announced their final post together.
Consisting of Australian violinists Brett Yang and Eddy Chen, the TwoSet Violin duo rose to fame through their highly engaging and entertaining YouTube videos that successfully brought classical music to new audiences.
On social media, the pair posted: ‘This will be the last piece of content we post as TwoSet Violin. It’s been a wild ride with you all for the last 11 years. We’ve all grown up together and it’s kinda surreal that we’re ending our chapter here.
“Thank you for all the laughs, the genuine encounters in real life and all the special moments we’ve had with you online and offline. Much love, Brett and Eddy.”
Fans across the world have reacted with shock to the news, with violin soloist Hilary Hahn leaving an online comment saying “so many congrats on a job well done! And thank you for everything you have done for the musical community. Not just classical! You guys rock.”
The comedy Instagram account “Lingling” also appeared to be in disbelief, posting that “I am also sad and confused about the situation.”
In November 2022, the duo achieved a milestone of four million YouTube subscribers. They marked this staggering achievement with a performance with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, for which the pair were loaned two 1708 Stradivari violins from the maker’s ‘Golden Period’.
Across their career, the musical pair have worked with star musicians from Lang Lang, to violinists Hilary Hahn, Janine Jansen and Maxim Vengerov.

"Another Brick in the Wall" is a three-part composition on Pink Floyd's 1979 The Wall, written by bassist Roger Waters. "Part 2", a protest song against rigid schooling,
At the suggestion of producer Bob Ezrin, Pink Floyd added elements of disco, which was popular at the time.
According to guitarist David Gilmour:
[Ezrin] said to me, "Go to a couple of clubs and listen to what's happening with disco music," so I forced myself out and listened to loud, four-to-the-bar bass drums and stuff and thought, Gawd, awful! Then we went back and tried to turn one of the parts into one of those so it would be catchy.
Gilmour recorded his guitar solo in one take, with no editing or mixing, using a 1955 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top guitar equipped with P-90 pick-ups. Despite his reservations about Ezrin's additions, Gilmour felt the final song still sounded like Pink Floyd. When Ezrin heard the song with a disco beat, he was convinced it could become a hit, but felt it needed to be longer, with two verses and two choruses. The band resisted, saying they did not release singles; Waters told him: "Go ahead and waste your time doing silly stuff."
While the band members were away, Ezrin edited the takes into an extended version, and had engineer Nick Griffiths record children singing the verse at Islington Green School, close to Pink Floyd's studio. Alun Renshaw, head of music at the school, was enthusiastic, and said later: "I wanted to make music relevant to the kids – not just sitting around listening to Tchaikovsky. I thought the lyrics were great – 'We don't need no education, we don't need no thought control' ... I just thought it would be a wonderful experience for the kids."
Some of the edits for this remix are what i would call poor, bad decision making IMO
as one of you stated The songs and solos have been snipped and edited as if the real fans wouldn’t notice. Literally no reason to do it....example 1:01
Other than those bad edits, shortened solos.....the sound and quality of video is good.
Glorious operatic singing marked the culminating concert of “Progetto Puccini” (Puccini Project), thrilling the opera lovers who came in droves to the Metropolitan Manila Theater to watch recently.
Participants of the four-day master classes on operatic acting and singing took turns singing arias in the first half of the concert, which preceded the more challenging staging of “Scenes and Arias” from Giacomo Puccini’s well-loved opera, “La Boheme.”
The master classes were held daily at the Met on Oct. 1 to Oct. 4, conducted by the celebrated tenor turned conductor Fabio Armiliato; Mariano Panico, a musical director and voice teacher; and Lorena Zaccaria as diction coach. They took turns teaching vocal technique and production, diction, interpretation and stagecraft. A mini recital in the afternoon capped what had been done and learned for the day.
